"My CHC Experience"

I love working at CHC because it provides me with an opportunity to make an impactful difference and give back to my community by being part of a great and dedicated team that provides quality healthcare services and resources to everyone. I can take pride in my work and have a sense of purpose and fulfillment, knowing I am making a difference in the lives of my neighbors and friends while growing both personally and professionally.

I have enjoyed working at Community Health Care for more than 2 years. During my time at CHC I have had the opportunity to move into a new position as Community Health Worker Lead. I work with a team that strives to provide our patients with the resources they need every day. It's a great feeling!

“I found a role I can see myself in for the long term. The work is enjoyable because of the wonderful WIC team and my manager. It brings me joy to be able to support WIC families by providing nutrition counseling, breastfeeding support, and connecting them to the resources they need.  I appreciate the little things CHC does that make me feel valued such as jeans day Fridays, birthday cards signed by the CEO, anniversary cards/gift cards, Christmas gifts, and occasional treats!”

I started with CHC as a student following Sarah Jauron, ARNP at our River Drive location 10 years ago. I immediately knew that CHC was where I wanted to begin my career. It was clear that administration supported and mentored their new clinicians, which is what I was seeking in my new role. The organization welcomed me two years later at a new CHC location in my hometown of Clinton, IA.

Over the last 8 years, our team has provided the Clinton community with access to affordable and quality healthcare for patients who may otherwise have no options in the area. I am proud of what we have done to grow this clinic and mold our services to the community’s needs.
