"My CHC Experience"

"As a new MA, Community Health Care is a great place for me!  The team is willing to help and teach, and I had a great group of trainers that prepared me for the work flow.  The diversity of our team helps with the patient flow and care we offer in the community.  Being a part of the CHC team helps me hone my skills to further my career and better my future."

“I have enjoyed working at CHC for the past 5 years.  What I love most is being able to help our patients get the care they need!  I’ve had the opportunity to work at three great CHC locations, meeting amazing coworkers and advancing my career along the way.”

“I found a role I can see myself in for the long term. The work is enjoyable because of the wonderful WIC team and my manager. It brings me joy to be able to support WIC families by providing nutrition counseling, breastfeeding support, and connecting them to the resources they need.  I appreciate the little things CHC does that make me feel valued such as jeans day Fridays, birthday cards signed by the CEO, anniversary cards/gift cards, Christmas gifts, and occasional treats!”

I started with CHC as a student following Sarah Jauron, ARNP at our River Drive location 9 years ago. I immediately knew that CHC was where I wanted to begin my career. It was clear that administration supported and mentored their new clinicians, which is what I was seeking in my new role. The organization welcomed me two years later at a new CHC location in my hometown of Clinton, IA.

Over the last 7 years, our team has provided the community with access to affordable and quality healthcare for patients who may otherwise have no options in the area. I am proud of what we have done to grow this clinic and mold our services to the community’s needs.
