Community Health Care, Inc., a Federally Qualified Health Center, is seeking a full-time Pediatrician. CHC is a growing practice located on the scenic Mississippi River. Candidates must possess the following: Board certified or eligible in Pediatrics, licensed or eligible for licensure in IA and IL, and legal authorization to work in the US. Duties include comprehensive primary care in a health professional shortage area.

JOB TITLE: Pediatrician
JOB REQUIREMENTS: M.D. or D.O. degree or foreign degree equivalent; licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Illinois; Board-certified or Board-eligible in Pediatrics; complete or be eligible to complete requirements for the practice of medicine in the State of Illinois, including state agreements for payment of health services under Medicare and Medicaid; eligible for Drug Enforcement Agency permission to prescribe and maintain controlled substances; eligible for hospital privileges at UnityPoint Health hospitals; and malpractice insurability.
JOB DUTIES: Performs comprehensive primary care in a medically underserved area, including prevention, diagnosis and treatment for patients with chronic or acute health care problems; practice medicine in accordance with generally accepted medical care standards; provides hospitalization and follow-up services and consults as necessary and appropriate; provides at least the minimum scheduled hours of office practice and call coverage; act in a collaborating role with physician extender staff; participates in appropriate professional continuing medical education as appropriate to physicians individual information needs and maintain licensure; maintain knowledge of community resources for both social and medical referrals; other duties as assigned based on clinic needs.
